Vaduz Gourmet Festival 2024: talents, stars and starlets

From 31 August to 8 September 2024, the third Vaduz Gourmet Festival will take place under the motto «Talents, Stars and Stars». Top chefs, up-and-coming talent and local originals will once again work their magic over two weekends on the covered town hall square – and this year will combine 300 Gault Millau points and 17 Michelin stars. There will also be exclusive events in restaurants and shops during the week.

At the Vaduz Gourmet Festival, visitors can experience top cuisine up close and personal and savour exclusive delicacies at the region’s largest culinary festival. On the weekends of 31 August/1 September and 7/8 September 2024, top chefs will present their special creations on the covered Rathausplatz square in Vaduz from 11 am to 7 pm. Admission to the Vaduz Gourmet Festival is free.

Star cuisine from gourmet food trucks

This year’s line-up is absolutely top-class and leaves nothing to be desired in culinary terms. A concentrated load of top national and international gastronomy will meet in Vaduz. The exciting mix of up-and-coming talent, Michelin-starred chefs, top chefs and TV chefs is particularly special. «We are delighted that this year we have succeeded in attracting a total of 300 Gault Millau points and 17 stars as well as numerous well-known chefs from near and far to the festival,» say the organisers.

The line-up includes top stars of the Swiss gastronomy scene such as Tobias Funke, Sebastian Zier, Stefan Heilemann, Christian Kuchler, Kevin Romes, Laurent Eperon, Niklas Oberhofer, Käthi Fässler, Roger Kalberer, Bernd Schützelhofer, Antonio Colaianni, Pascal Schwarz, Daniel Sladek, Hansjörg Ladurner, Fabio Vulcano, André Siedl and Dominique Schrotter. The dishes will be presented by the chefs from food trucks on the Rathausplatz.

TV celebrities, talents and local greats

The top local chefs include Ivo Berger (Torkel Vaduz), Hubertus Real (Restaurant Marée), Martin Real (Restaurant Weinlaube), Reto Jenal (Salz & Pfeffer), Yunyun Ye (Restaurant Tang), Martha Bühler (Marthas Knöpflestudio), Giuseppe Albanese (Restaurant Amarone) and Patcharida Dill (Restaurant Engel).

The star-studded line-up also includes media celebrity chefs Meta Hiltebrand, Grill Ueli and René Schudel. They became famous with their own TV programmes and will now also be presenting their creations at the Vaduz Gourmet Festival. In addition, the Rocking Chefs, well-known from various TV shows, will be creating a stir with their dragon grill in the centre of Vaduz.

Exclusive offers in restaurants and shops

In addition to an exclusive opening event, which will take place on Friday 30 August on the town hall square, the restaurants and shops in Vaduz will take centre stage. Various events will take place there over the course of a week. These include a Japan Tasting Night (Café im Kunstmuseum), an exclusive champagne dinner (Restaurant Marée Vaduz), a gin tasting (Hoi Laden) and a special barbecue course (Greber). There will be a special synergy with other events taking place in Vaduz at the same time. On Sunday, 1 September, the classic car meeting will take place in Städtle Vaduz and on Saturday, 7 September, the big Princely Liechtenstein Tattoo Parade will also be held in the centre of Vaduz. Visitors will therefore benefit from various joint events and can enjoy gourmet creations on the town hall square.

Exclusive opening event

The opening event of the Vaduz Gourmet Festival will take place on Friday, 30 August at 7.00 pm on the covered Rathausplatz. The event offers guests the special opportunity to get to know chefs and partners in advance of the festival and to enjoy a special culinary evening with dishes from three gourmet food trucks. TV chef René Schudel, Gault Millau chef Daniel Sladek and FL top chef Reto Jenal will be performing their magic on site – celebrating street food dishes in a special way. Guests can also look forward to a tasting bar with caviar and oysters, a wine tasting, a champagne reception and various other surprises. Information and tickets at www.genussfestival.li


Organised by the municipality and VP Bank

The largest culinary event in the region is organised by the Genussfestival association in collaboration with Erlebe Vaduz and the event agency Skunk AG. The municipality of Vaduz and VP Bank are once again the organisers. Renowned partners such as Laurent Perrier, Altherr AG, G. Bianchi, Oona Caviar and b_smart have also been secured for this year’s edition of the Genussfestival. Media partners are FM1, Liewo and marmite.
