Laugh at 2000 metres with the Arosa Humorfestival

Arosa Humorfestival

From 4 to 15 December 2024, it’s that time again – the 33rd Arosa Humorfestival will transform the snow-covered peaks of the idyllic mountain village into the most humorous stage in Switzerland. In the middle of the ski resort at an altitude of 2,000 metres, the festival offers the perfect combination of top-class comedy, breathtaking nature and a dream Alpine landscape.

Arosa is one of the most popular winter resorts in Switzerland and delights winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Guests can expect a wide range of leisure activities: 225 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes for skiing and snowboarding fun, picturesque winter hiking trails through snow-covered forests or inspiring cross-country ski trails. Those looking for relaxation away from the slopes will find soothing peace and relaxation in the wellness areas of the hotels. Foodies can look forward to the finest culinary delights, making Arosa the ideal destination for everyone.

Unique location: humour in the middle of the ski area

The iconic red and blue festival tent of the Arosa Humorfestival stands next to the Tschuggenhütte right in the middle of the ski area at an altitude of 2000 metres. This spectacular location, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, provides an unrivalled backdrop. The festival site can be reached on foot via atmospheric winter hiking trails, directly by ski or snowboard or conveniently by cable car with a short walk. Visitors not only enjoy first-class comedy, but also a breathtaking view of the wintry mountains – an ambience that you won’t find anywhere else.

Tradition meets new faces

The Arosa Humorfestival can look back on over 30 years of success and has long since become one of Switzerland’s cultural assets. The major comedy and cabaret festival attracts an international audience every year. 2024 marks a special turning point: after many successful years, long-standing festival director Frank Baumann has handed over the reins of the festival. The popular Swiss presenter Salar Bahrampoori, who will take over the evening moderation from Baumann and humorously guide the audience through the programme, will provide a breath of fresh air.

In addition, the Swiss audience favourite Claudio Zuccolini will provide hearty laughs and the Swiss cult band Patent Ochsner will provide a musical swing in a class of its own.

The festival offers a stage not only for the big names on the comedy scene, but also for up-and-coming talent. This mixture of established greats and new faces guarantees an exciting variety with humorous surprises.
