Culinary delights on the summit
Culinary delights will certainly not be boring at the AlpenGold Hotel. The hotel has a total of six restaurants and bars with different concepts.
Italian dishes are served in the Sapori restaurant. The menu includes dishes such as: Burratina Artigianale, Carpaccio di Gamberi, Ossobuco di Vitello, freshly caught seafood and fish as well as classic pasta dishes or pizza. And what is the atmosphere like in the restaurant? Elegant and simple and at the same time interesting and lively, thanks to the open show kitchen.

Awarded 14 GaultMillau points, ‘La Muña’ welcomes guests in the winter months and impresses with its Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine. The menu includes dishes such as ceviche, sashimi, a selection of sushi and gyoza, to name but a few. Extreme freshness is the top priority with these dishes, as the often raw or marinated ingredients are rearranged every minute. Incidentally, the name ‘La Muña’ comes from a Peruvian plant that helps mountain dwellers and adventurers to alleviate altitude sickness.

Creativity, sustainability and a pinch of staging – at atelierVert, AlpenGold head chef Manuel Zünd and his team celebrate the diversity of local, vegetarian cuisine. The ingredients come either from the hotel’s own garden or from selected producers in Graubünden. Whether organic barley, mountain beans, mountain hemp, honey or potatoes – regional treasures are creatively reinterpreted here.

Whether it’s a light lunch, afternoon tea or a nightcap – the Nuts & Co. Lounge Bar spoils you with a cosy living room atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling windows connect the interior with the terrace and open up a view of the majestic mountain backdrop. Dark wood panelling is reminiscent of the region’s traditional chalets.
Le Fumoir’ is an exclusive retreat for lovers of fine cigars. In addition to rare Cohibas, the selection includes exquisite tobaccos from Latin America. In a stylish ambience, you can enjoy perfectly matured spirits – a meeting place for true connoisseurs.
In winter, the Cheese Factory entices guests with creative reinterpretations of local specialities. Grand Cru cheeses, carefully selected meat and mountain potatoes from the Albula Valley are refined with Alpine herbs – a treat that is well deserved after a day on the piste.
Revitalise the senses at the ‘Spa Nescens’
A retreat for relaxation and regeneration, inspired by the impressive mountain world of Davos. The 1200 m² Spa Nescens offers a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a fitness studio and a yoga room. Two separate wellness areas for men and women with sauna and steam bath as well as a communal sauna and sanarium ensure relaxing hours. Fourteen treatment rooms, including two exclusive Spa Nescens suites for couples, are available for customised treatments. The Alpine Spa Suites also offer a private sauna, steam room and whirlpool – perfect for intensive relaxation after a day in the mountains.

In winter, the supervised Mini Club Davos offers children aged 4 to 12 a varied programme with painting, handicrafts, climbing, cooking and more. In summer, the club can be opened on request. A private babysitting service is also available. The Sixteenhundred Teens Club Lounge is the perfect meeting place for teenagers – when they’re not out and about in the deep snow or surfing on Lake Davos. An in-house cinema, games consoles and a pool table provide entertainment. The Hotel AlpenGold is also the ideal starting point for shared adventures in the impressive natural surroundings of Davos.
