The BelArosa Chalet will open on 20 December 2024 just in time for the winter season – an exclusive hideaway that combines traditional Grisons architecture with modern comfort. What’s more, it is a nest where true luxury is within reach: Peace and quiet, time for yourself, space for the finer things in life. Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Arosa, the chalet comprises ten luxurious accommodation units that can accommodate up to six people. The innovative idea is called: chalets within a chalet. Each of these chalets boasts a stylish interior, elegant bathrooms with a private sauna and a cosy living area with a fireplace that radiates warmth and comfort. An absolute eye-catcher: five of the chalets have private infinity pools, which fill with cosy warm water at the touch of a button and offer a magnificent view of the mountains.
Tuned to the Guest’s Rhythm
At the BelArosa Chalet, guests set their own pace. This starts with breakfast, which is served in the privacy of their chalet at their preferred time. Everyone begins their day relaxed, whenever it suits them best. Throughout the day, the freedom to enjoy culinary delights knows almost no bounds: a private chef is available on request, turning the chalet into an exclusive gourmet stage. Alternatively, guests can opt for exquisite food hampers, allowing them to cook for themselves and savor local specialties. “This freedom and individuality, combined with the comfort and service of a five-star hotel, make our BelArosa Chalet a unique retreat for relaxation and indulgence,” explains Meike-Cathérine Bambach, the hostess of this innovative establishment.
A Masterpiece in every Detail
The chalet is more than just accommodation – it is a place that harmoniously combines a sense of security and adventure. Its architecture creates a seamless connection with the surrounding nature of Arosa, a world-renowned alpine spa town where precious resources like light, sun, and air abound. This natural luxury and pristine environment are reflected in the chalet’s design. The façade, crafted from 200-year-old reclaimed wood, and the solid stone foundation pay homage to the traditional building style of Graubünden. Modern elements, such as large glass fronts, flood the rooms with light and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding Alpine landscape.
Inside, natural materials like rough-hewn stone, oiled black metal, and fine linen fabrics create an authentic and luxurious ambiance. Every detail is thoughtfully designed – from the cozy seating nooks by the fireplace to the lime plaster walls that exude a special, warm atmosphere. The chalets are fully equipped and feature at least one bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a comfortable living area with a fireplace. They are designed to evoke a welcoming, homey feel while allowing guests to enjoy the comfort of a five-star hotel. This combination of a luxurious retreat and first-class service offers an unparalleled experience for discerning guests.
Extensive Experience, deep Empathy – and even more Surprises
«My team and I are dedicated to creating an unforgettable experience for our guests. We go the extra mile, get creative, and seek out those surprising moments, down to the smallest detail,» reveals Meike Bambach. With her extensive experience in luxury hotel management and her eye for detail, she has turned the BelArosa Chalet into a place where guests naturally unwind and enjoy life at their own pace.
As a former Hotelier of the Year and the director of the renowned Hideaway Hotel Paradies in Ftan, located in the Lower Engadine, she knows exactly how to captivate discerning travelers who have already seen much of the world. «The key is individuality and customization. Guests don’t want standardized experiences. They want to be surprised. And they want to shape their day entirely according to their wishes – whether it’s a walk through the snow-covered winter landscape or a relaxing afternoon in the Sky Pool as snow gently falls.»
Food Hampers and Rrivate Chefs – instead of a Restaurant
The chalet itself does not have its own restaurant. Instead, the focus is entirely on catering to individual preferences. Guests craving their favorite dishes will find them delivered in delightful baskets filled with the finest ingredients (“Food Hampers”) directly to their chalet. “We want to give our guests the greatest possible freedom of choice. The chalets are so cozy that they’ll especially enjoy dining there in the evenings,” says Meike Bambach confidently. Alternatively, guests can opt for a private chef, who will prepare a menu of their choice, incorporating local delicacies whenever possible. Additionally, guests can take advantage of the wide variety of excellent restaurants in Arosa should they choose to venture into the village for an outing.
Eyecatchers with cutting-edge technology
The standout features are the five infinity outdoor pools, including two striking Sky Pools with glass bottoms, offering the sensation of floating above the mountain landscape. These pools are a marvel of engineering and technology. With the press of a button, they fill with pleasantly warm water in just 15 minutes. The water, heated using wood pellets, is stored in large tanks in the basement of the BelArosa Chalet until it is needed.
Equally remarkable is the central section of the building with its expansive glass fronts, ensuring abundant natural light in the double-story living spaces and creating a bright, open atmosphere. Generous balconies on all sides offer the perfect vantage point to fully savor the fresh Arosa mountain air and breathtaking views.
The BelArosa Chalet is set to be a highlight of the 2024 winter season – a place you’ll want to return to time and again to relax, rejuvenate, and recharge.
